Jewish Representation Ensured on U of M Board of Regents

Mazel Tov to Ellen Luger and former Ambassador Samuel Heins—newly appointed to the University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents after a competitive process.

More than 400 of you responded to our advocacy alert, urging the Governor Walz to keep Jewish representation on the Board. While the U has improved the campus climate for Jewish students, faculty, and staff, serious challenges remain—making this representation vital.

We also commend former Minnesota Hillel Executive Director Benjie Kaplan for stepping forward as a candidate. JCRC continues to urge qualified community members to pursue leadership roles and public office.
