Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, Minneapolis Jewish Federation, and St. Paul Jewish Federation join to strengthen community security through SCN’s Umbrella

October 14, 2026

Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas (JCRC), The Minneapolis Jewish Federation (MJF), and the St. Paul Jewish Federation today announced the establishment of a new organization responsible for security for the Jewish community across Minnesota and the Dakotas in partnership with Secure Community Network (SCN).

Operating under SCN’s national umbrella, the new organization – established as a stand-alone LLC to serve the diverse needs of the Jewish community across Minnesota and the Dakotas – will administer day-to-day security operations in a comprehensive manner, directly integrating Jewish communities across Minnesota and the Dakotas into SCN’s National Threat Management Initiative, 24/7 Jewish Security Operations Command Center (JSOCC), and nationwide network of security professionals and law enforcement partners.

Through this new partnership, these communities join SCN’s DHS SAFETY Act Designated security model, utilized by over 82 percent of Jewish Federations and network communities across North America through direct partnerships with SCN. The new structure will further integrate Jewish communities in Minnesota and the Dakotas into SCN’s national network, strengthening access to threat management expertise, security standards, training, and emergency preparedness resources.

Under the new partnership, two full-time security professionals will continue to work locally in Minnesota and the Dakotas, strengthened by SCN’s national team, resources, and network. The community’s security patrol car program, widely regarded as a success, will continue without interruption.

The community will have an opportunity to learn more about the new program at an upcoming town hall.
